Handmade Greek Filachto
- The filachto is a miniature square of colourful brocade that is pinned discreetly on the clothing of babies or kept in the pockets of adults in hope of protecting the wearer by warding off the evil eye. Made by Eastern Orthodox nuns, they are humble reminders of what really counts in the world – hope, love, life. And they have a graphic appeal to boot. A very old tradition. Artisan finds from our cabinet of curiosities. No two alike.
